Transoral Outlet Reduction (TORe)

What Is Transoral Outlet Reduction (TORe)?
TORe is a minimally invasive endoscopic procedure for patients who have regained weight after gastric bypass surgery. Tightening the connection between the stomach pouch and the small intestine using an endoscope slows gastric emptying and helps patients feel full longer. As an incision-free, outpatient procedure with short recovery time, TORe provides a robust and effective solution for revising prior roux-en-y gastric bypass procedures. The TORe procedure is considered only for those who are least 2 years out from Roux-en-Y gastric bypass surgery.
