Weight loss surgery clinic in Toronto

Sleeve gastrectomy, gastric bypass and SADI, performed at Clinic 360 in Leaside, each with two years of follow-up and aftercare included in the price.

When surgery is part of the conversation

Surgery may be discussed from a BMI of 30, especially with a related condition such as type 2 diabetes. At a BMI of 40 and above, we may recommend medically supervised weight loss before surgery to improve safety.

We offer three types of weight-loss surgery. All three are keyhole surgery under general anesthesia, through several small incisions of 0.5 to 1.5 cm, and all three are permanent. We also offer endoscopic procedures with no external incisions, so if one of those suits you better, you'll hear that at consultation.

The main difference is absorption. A sleeve limits how much you can eat and lowers hunger-hormone levels. Gastric bypass and SADI also reduce how much is absorbed, so vitamin supplementation and regular bloodwork become part of the plan, and after SADI that supplementation is lifelong. Where your surgery happens in Toronto

All SmartSleeveMD procedures are performed at Clinic 360, a private surgical facility at 1131A Leslie Street in Toronto's Leaside neighbourhood. Our surgeons and the Clinic 360 team plan together and work side by side in the operating room, and Clinic 360's anesthesia and nursing teams care for you on procedure day.

Consultations and follow-up visits happen by video or in person at our Brampton or Mississauga clinics. If you're travelling from outside the GTA, Clinic 360 can suggest nearby hotels.

The aftercare that comes with it

Every procedure includes two years of follow-up and aftercare, coordinated with our medical partner WeightSimple:

  • Surgeon follow-ups at 1 to 2 weeks, 6 weeks, and 3, 6 and 12 months, then continued follow-up through year two
  • A registered dietitian through every diet stage, then meal plans for the long term
  • Psychologist support for habits, triggers, and emotional eating
  • Remote patient monitoring between visits, so changes are noticed early

After that, 3+ more years of medical, nutrition, and behavioural support are also included. This is support rather than scheduled follow-up. If weight starts to return, your team discusses revision options with you. See the care journey
