A conversation, not a commitment
Your consultation is free and carries no obligation. It covers endoscopic procedures as well as surgery.
You choose video, or in person at our Brampton or Mississauga clinic, and you can reschedule whenever you need to. If you go ahead, procedures take place at Clinic 360 in Toronto's Leaside neighbourhood.

How to prepare
It helps to have thought about:

- Any health conditions you're managing, such as type 2 diabetes
- Any previous weight-loss procedure, such as a gastric bypass
- What you want the next year to look like
- Your questions about cost, coverage and recovery. Our FAQ covers the common ones
What happens during the consultation
- We go through your history: what you've tried, your health conditions and your goals
- A surgeon reviews your candidacy, considering your BMI, health conditions, previous procedures, goals and preferences
- You hear which options fit, and which don't. If none fit, we'll say so
- Our patient care coordinator explains costs and financing

- An exact quote. Prices range from $8,000 to $9,000 for the intragastric balloon to $20,000 to $22,000 for SADI, and every price includes two years of follow-up and aftercare plus 3+ more years of support

- What OHIP may cover. Private procedures generally aren't covered, but some related services, such as bloodwork, may be
- Written information to take home, and the time you need to decide
What happens next
If you decide to go ahead, preparation starts in the weeks before your procedure: bloodwork within 30 days of it, a pre-procedure gastroscopy where your procedure needs one, and assessments with your surgeon and an anesthesiologist. WeightSimple's physicians, dietitian and psychologist help you get ready, and your surgeon confirms the plan. Your care journey
If a procedure isn't right for you now, you can start with medical care through WeightSimple instead.
